Stars in Europe - Ghana - Keyplayer - Transfer - Jordan Ayew moved to Sheffield United

Jordan Ayew

The Details
Jordan Ayew is a Blade. Sheffield United have signed the former Crystal Palace and Leicester City forward on a deal until the end of the season. The 34-year-old has earned 124 caps for Ghana and has been a free agent since leaving Leicester following their relegation to League One.

The Journey
Ayew's Premier League and Championship career stretches back 11 years to when he arrived at Aston Villa from Lorient in 2015. His well-travelled career is now entering a new chapter at Bramall Lane.

The Manager's view
"We're talking about someone here with bags of experience at the very top level of the game," said boss Chris Wilder. 'Only a few months ago, he was captaining Ghana in the World Cup, so he's someone with real pedigree. He performed well at this level last season despite difficult circumstances, and he has played in various positions across the front line during his career, which gives us plenty of options."

On the world stage
Ayew brings genuine international pedigree to the Championship promotion push.

The Closer
Ayew's experience is exactly what Wilder needed for his promotion push.
