TP Mazembe vs Etoile du Sahel 0:0
FUS Rabat vs Mouloudia Bejaia 1:1

TP Mazembe of the Democratic Republic of Congo drew 0:0 at home with holders Etoile du Sahel of Tunisia to squeeze into the African Confederation Cup final on the away-goals rule.

Mazembe and Etoile du Sahel, winners of the two major African club competitions last year, went into the second leg of the semi-final level at 1:1 on aggregate.

This was the third match between the two clubs this year, with hosts Mazembe notably lifting the African Super Cup last February by winning 2:1.

Mazembe, the 2015 African Champions League winners, went into their home leg of the Confederation Cup semi-final in Lubumbashi as favourites to achieve overall victory.

However, in a tight match, the hosts struggled to make home advantage count and could not break the defence of their Tunisian opponents.

Mazembe's progress to the final came courtesy of their goal in the first leg in Sousse, when they came from behind to draw 1:1 with Etoile.

Later on Sunday, the second semi-final of the continent's second tier club competition features FUS Rabat of Morocco - shock 2010 Confederation Cup winners - at home to first-time semi-finalists Mouloudia Bejaia of Algeria.

The tie is level at 0:0 after a goalless first-leg encounter.

FUS, former title-holders, have scored 17 goals in six home games en route to the penultimate phase with ex-Hibernian striker Abdessalam Benjelloun and Mohamed Nahiri netting four times each.

Nine other FUS players, including Senegalese Ass Mandaw Sy and Gambian Youssoupha Njie, have got on the score-sheet so there is no shortage of potential match-winners.

Bejaia boast a scrooge-like defence with goalkeeper Chamseddine Rahmani conceding only three goals in four away matches en route to the semi-finals.
