Borussia Dortmund have equalled their best ever start to a season, recording an eighth consecutive win in all competitions by beating Hertha Berlin.

Thomas Tuchel has won all eight matches since replacing Jurgen Klopp as manager in the summer.

Mats Hummels, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Adrian Ramos scored their goals at the Westfalenstadion.

Dortmund have achieved a perfect start from as many games only twice before - in 1976 and 2012.

They were in danger of losing their record when former Chelsea winger Salomon Kalou made it 2:1 after 78 minutes but Hertha old boy Ramos sealed it in injury time.

Dortmund, who have come through two rounds of Europa League qualifying and a German Cup match, have scored 30 goals in Tuchel's eight games so far.

They are top of the fledgling Bundesliga table, ahead of Bayern - the only other team with a 100% record - on goal difference.
