Queiroz coached South Africa for two years from 2000 but was sacked after qualifying the side for the 2002 World Cup. He has been in charge of Iran since 2011 and took them took to the World Cup in Brazil, where they were eliminated at the group stage.

Nelson Mandela - Sport pays tribute to former South Africa president

Thuso Phala born 27 May 1986 in Soweto, Gauteng is a South African football midfielder. 

He currently plays for Premier Soccer League club SuperSport United and South Africa.

Phala was featured in a BBC documentary in 2004 entitled 'Football and Freedom' which followed the paths of two 13-year-old South Africans aiming to become professional footballers.
