Group B
26/07/16: Al Ahli Tripoli vs Etoile du Sahel 0:1
27/07/16: FUS Rabatt vs Kawkab Marrakech 3:1

Champions Etoile du Sahel and Medeama of Ghana secured victories in Africa's Confederation Cup on Tuesday to move closer to a place in the semi finals.

Etoile recorded a 1:0 win over Al Ahly Tripoli whilst Medeama beat Young Africans of Tanzania 3:1.

Ahmed Akaichi got the only goal of the game for Etoile, who are defending the title they won last year.

The match was played in Tunis for security reasons and the victory takes them top in their pool.

They are ahead of FUS Rabat on goal difference in Group B, although the Moroccans can go back to first place with a win on Wednesday over another Moroccan side, Kawkab Marrakech.

In Group A, Medeama recorded a fine home win in Sekondi to keep them in third place in the pool - separated from Mouloudia Bejaia of Algeria, in second, only on goal difference.

Medeama's 3:1 victory came thanks to two goals from Abbas Mohammed and another from Daniel Amoah. They also had a penalty saved.

The Tanzanians lie bottom of their pool with only one point from four games so far - and are almost out of the running for the last four.

Should Bejaia lose to Congolese giants TP Mazembe on Wednesday, then Medeama could rise to second place in their pool.
