A stampede at a football match in the capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Kinshasa, officials say.

Reports say the trouble began after police fired tear gas in the crowded stadium, causing panic. At least 15 people have been killed and more than 20 people were injured. Local fans were unhappy after the home team, ASV Club, were defeated 1:0 by Tout Puissant Mazembe from Lubumbashi. Stampedes are a frequent occurrence at mass events in the country

The Villarreal striker was not picked by Keshi, despite scoring 12 goals in the Spanish top flight this season. Uche has not played for his country since they won the Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa last year. The 30-year-old insists, however, that he holds no grudges against Keshi. "Of course as a professional footballer you'd love to represent your country, but I have never had bad words towards the national coach," Uche is widely regarded as one of Nigeria's most reliable strikers at international level and is one of his nation's all-time top scorers, with 18 goals in 45 appearances, behind Rashidi Yekini, Segun Odegbami and Yakubu Aiyegbeni.

South Africa through to U23 semi-finals as Tunisia go out

South Africa beat Tunisia 1:0 in the final game of Group A in M'bour to advance to the Africa Under-23 Cup of Nations semi-finals and keep their Olympic hopes alive.

South Africa needed at least a draw to progress, but the result ends Tunisia's hopes of advancing.

Menzi Masuka scored the all-important goal in the 85th minute to secure South Africa's place in the last four.

South Africa finished second in the group on six points.

The hosts Senegal finished top of Group A with a third consecutive win, beating Zambia 1:0 in Dakar.

Mohamadou Diallo scored for Senegal in the third minute to inflict a third straight defeat on Zambia who are eliminated.

Senegal and South Africa will both now have to wait until Saturday to see who they will play in the semi-finals.

Senegal will play the second placed team in Group B, whilst South Africa will face the Group B winners.

Both semi-finals will be played on Wednesday 9 December.

The tournament also serves as a qualifying competition for next year's Olympic Games with the top three finishers booking a place in Rio.
