2015 AFRICA CUP QUALIFIERS - GROUP STAGE - 3RD MATCHES - GHANA - COACH KONADU NAMES SQUAD

AFRICA CUP 2015 QUALIFIERS GROUP E

Ghana caretaker coach Maxwell Konadu has handed Kwabena Adusei his first senior call-up in a 23-man squad to face Guinea this month.

The Black stars play Guinea twice in Group E of the 2015 African Cup of Nations qualifiers - on 11 October in Casablanca and in Tamale on the 15th.

Konadu will take charge of the team until a successor to Kwesi Appiah, who left in September, is appointed.

Ghana are believed to be considering a shortlist of five men for the job.

Reports suggest the three-man committee tasked with appointing a new coach are considering ex-Chelsea boss Avram Grant, ex-Netherlands assistant coach Patrick Kluivert, ex-Republic of Ireland assistant coach Marco Tardelli, ex-Swiss assistant coach Michel Pont and ex-Valadollid coach Juan Ignacio Martinez.

Meanwhile, former Ghana assistant boss Konadu has immediately brought in a new face in Adusei.

The 27-year-old centre-back recently joined Mpumalanga Black Aces from Asante Kotoko and will be eager to impress in the Ghana set-up.
